Overview
Built a comprehensive e-catalog system for Bosch AutoParts across Southeast Asia. The progressive web app and native app allow workshops and distributors to search, filter, and identify compatible auto parts by vehicle model, category, and OE number.
Our Approach
The core challenge was making thousands of auto parts searchable across multiple dimensions: by vehicle model, by part category, by OE number, and by compatibility. We designed a search-first interface that lets mechanics and distributors find the exact part they need in seconds. The vehicle compatibility engine cross-references Bosch’s product database against a comprehensive vehicle database covering models sold across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. The app supports offline access for workshops with unreliable internet, and the PWA approach meant Bosch could deploy updates instantly without waiting for app store approvals.
Deliverables
Results
The e-catalog replaced a legacy PDF-based system, dramatically reducing the time workshops spend identifying compatible parts. The multi-region rollout covered Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand with localised interfaces. Distributors reported significant improvements in order accuracy since mechanics could verify compatibility before placing orders.
